Have you looked the othe Garmins ie 27xx and the new 2820? I've got a garmin GPSMAP276c which I cant fault but the newer 27+ models can now give audible and visible speedcamera alerts. plus other funky stuff (2820 is bluetooth thingied)
Plus they tend to be robust and waterproof (if a little expensive)
