Thanks for the replies guys, the ADSL light has just come on this minute. I was on the phone to Tiscali at the time and the chap asked me to hold for 2 minutes while he did another line test. Within 30 seconds the adsl light came on and everything seems fine. All a bit of a palaver with 6 calls to Tiscali and a few to BT. Tiscali kept telling me the fault was because BT were doing maintenance and the work would be finished at such and such time. When it still wouldnt work at the time they had given me I would start ringing Tiscali and BT all over again. Every time I spoke to BT they denied any work was being done and they had tested the line as ok. Seems strange to me, a bit odd that within seconds of making my last stroppy phone call to Tiscali the adsl light came on and all was ok again. Tiscali passing the blame to BT? Thanks again Martin |
