Cannot remember where I got them but some foam filters that fix to inside of airbox gave me 4 bhp more than bell mouth 'bathsponge' and kept the intake growl too!!

Anyone else use them??

I have he JHP filters that fit on the airtubes as they enter the airbox. These are said (!) to be much more effectuive than the sponge over the bell mouth filters. They are also very free flowing. They resemble a conical gauze K&N type filter. Induction roar good and none of the 998R's ponies seem hesitant.............

Sounds very similar but mine are made of foam, definitely better than the 'bath sponge' arrangement, but still cannot remember where I bought them.....doh!!!

I think the ones you mean are Pipercross; you can get them from Demontweeks for around £25ish

Sorry, just read your replies properly! The Pipercross ones fit inside the carbon airtubes.

These are the ones - they fit in the airbox at the entrance of the airtubes

I've fitted those ones Ricky...bought of a fellow DSC'r.

Easy (ish) to fit...and performance wise they are better than the over the mouth type.

Very similar indded mine protrude more into airbox, but those would be my choice over bath sponge type.

Incidentally, mine were removed and cleaned last week and they were full of flies etc so they do at least stop those.
