Making predictions is a bad thing...baaaad thing.

Anyway, aren't you pulling out of Donington and marching off to lead a revolt in Botswana?

Dom, if it's of any interest to you there is no special number to call New Era-I got exactly the same response as you-either engaged or an annoying message saying I cannot leave a message so call back later.............
Of course I could have driven over-a 100 mile round trip-on the offchance that Jim was there, but unfortunately I had loads of work to do since I have to earn a living.

The reason why you all got dropped from SV/SoT is because you only entered for ONE race, ie £25.

Because the two races have now been combined into one single race, you would need to pay for the TWO races, ie £50.

New Era have assumed (rightly or wrongly) that because you only entered for one race and not two, that you would not want to run the double-distance race... plus the fact that you've only paid £25 and not £50, of course!

If you still want to do the SV/SoT class then I'm sure you can pay the extra £25 to get on the grid.

I'm not sure about that (although if you're right, I apologise).

I think it's more likely that due to the fact that the Hairnets and 400's are on the same grid, that there was probably only a few spots left over for SV's and those that entered first, got the grid slots - there are reserves as well.

Same with Sound of Thunder.

There aren't many club meetings at Donny this year (3?), so people come to race as a one off - filling the grids and of course New Era would rather have their £130 than our (or anyone elses) £50 - and totally understandable.

New Era normally accept your entry and ask you to bring the extra £25 - it's happened to me before. That's why I don't think that is the reason.

if thats the case then its even more bollox as before i posted mine off i asked them if it was still 25 quid for the extra race and they said yes.

imho they are taking the **** and we need to sort out who we can get the best deal with next year. but it needs to be done NOW. who is meant to be doing it the RC? all the riders? the riders reps? we seem to be a ship without anyone at the helm at the moment.

if next years format is not sorted soon. ie in the next month i can see it going all tits up.
