| The locating knob is a pressed bit of steel that is spot welded to the tank, I drilled a 3mm hole in the centre of the dome and then enlarged the hole with a couple of cone cutters until all I had left was about a 1mm high wall which I folded over with a hammer to flatten it intowards the centre, could hardly notice any protrusion in the end. Then I stuck a sticker over it although once I remove the black glue residue I will fit a Agip Tank pad I have lying around
