| Hi, just been out to my workshop.......the original hose fitted to the 851/888 is 13 od / 8 id mm the qd fittings on my bike are nylon/white plastic in 8mm id , they are marked "CPC". I have cranked the fuel pressure up on my bike as high as 4.5 bar, changed all the clips for Jubilee type clips (in s/steel ) with no problems, i think if you were to go smaller, you may have problems with the fuel flow, on a tuned 888.
