I would just undo the hose's and pull them off. Just make sure you slacken them right off so that that don't get caught on the bell end :-)

, I'm going to have another go at them on my split tomorrow, I think I'm going to spray some wd40 on the hoses as testastretta said, safest way for the bike and me

Just taken my 748R motor out for the 2nd time in in a month so drop me a line if you need help with anything.

Never said it before cos i'm fick....but I'm almost an expert at it now I've had to do it that many times!!!!!!!

Take the hoses off is the best way, the Ducati quick connectors are very expnsive, £50 plus, so if you are only taking the tank off every now & then, not worth the hassle or cost of getting the connectors. The 748 e models are those that come without quick connectors.
