Don`t be put of by the word Ally, it is not short for Aluminium but the word Alloy, meaning basically Aluminium and other materials mixed together to give a lightweight component with the wear properties of steel. The only difference you get is the weight of the item and the price.
The mileage will be similar and depend on how you look after your chain and sprockets as to how many miles this will be.
