I bought a 2000 on a W "R" 3 months or so ago....
Early 2000 model with the showa front instead of the Ohlins......It was priced locally for 7k...i managed to get it down to 6.2k.
There is a lot of badly treated ones out there, i spent the best part of 6 months looking at ones with no service history etc priced to the sky because they were "R's"
Having looked around prices are all over the place with a serious North/South devide...Why don't you consider buying one up North here in Jock land where the prices are considerably cheaper. I am sure 1 of us from the Scottish branch can put you up for a few nights while you look around.
If you found one and did not want to ride it home you can get a bike shipped anywhere in the UK for about 100 quid.
Shirlaws in Aberdeen have one but it is priced far to high, they are often good for a bit of haggling.....If you could get this one for 7k it would be a good price.
