Depends on the year of your engine and the output shaft (paging Skidlids, Skidlids to the courtesy telephone please!) as to what size sprockets you want to run and therefore the size of the chain.

I think mine is a 96 link chain, but I know we bought a 100 link and then cut a couple off once we'd put a sprocket on and put the wheel in the middle of the adjusters.

As Antony says it depends on the engine, if its a genuine SS engine then it will have either the early 2.28 to 1 primary drive and use rear sprockets in the region of 38 to 41, in which case the chain length should ber 98, if its the later SS engine with 2 to 1 primary then sprocket sizes that I used were 41 to 43 which gives a chain option of 98 or 100 link

Dallas's bike hasa 1999 Monster 600 engine in it with the 1.85 primary so has to use bigger rear sprockets and a 100 or 102 link chain
