| Actually, the answer is this... From the top menu, select User Settings and then from the Control Panel select Edit Options. At the bottom of this screen, change the Message Editor Interface drop-down box to show "Enhanced Interface". Click Save Changes and the next time you reply to a thread, you'll get a quick list of smilies and a full drop-down list in the menu too...
