It looks like I may have the wrong brain installled (story of my life).

The same chip as mine is on eBay advertised as "748R chip for 45mm road cans"

The same seller also has a chip for "748R 50mm race cans", so subject to clarification that this is suitable for a 50mm half-system, as it's a lot cheaper than a FIM chip, I may give it a go.

If its cheap, go for it. I know the FIM chips are expensive, but i think the best.

p.s. i get 140 miles before the fuel light comes on.

After exchanging emails with Neil from Cornerspeed, who informed me Ultimap have ceased trading and that he can't get hold of them, I've just managed to buy one of the last remaining Ultimap chips from Sigma.

I'll post an update when it's fitted.

soory for the hijack but i have a Ultimap chip for sale, brand new never opened, originally for a 748sp but i believe can be flashed to suit any bike?? i maybe wrong,

im open to offers for it

Thanks Adam. You seem to be on a one man mission to improve my bike!

I've already paid for a model specific chip, but I might speak to Sigma on Monday and see if:

(a) Re-burning your chip is possible/cost-effective.

and

(b) They are willing to accept the return of the chip I've bought.

hahaha, yeah its my crusade to keep as many 748's as possable tidy and on the road lol, (although not as tidy as mine lol)
