I intend to issue a update tomorrow by way of email.
Its mainly announcing the tyre deal.

As there is bound to be a initial high demand for tyres, we are trying to cover the options so that 2011 DD registered riders can get hold of them.

To cope with the initial demand there will be 3 options as opposed to the normal 2.
Option 1 - Collect from Supplier
Option 2 - Have Deliverd by mail
Option 3 - Collect at the Brands Testday

More on this tomorrow in the email

Looks like there might be a long line of DD bikes waiting to get tyres fitted at Brands Day then.

Mark.

Too right I am. For the cost of the 3 sets I bought last year I can have 4 this year!

Cheers again Kev for all your (and whoever else behind the scenes) hard work. We didn't just stumble on this deal, and it is for a H rated (apparently ideal for our bikes, but I doubt I'll be able to notice) Dunlop (my manufacturer of choice for my 848). A pat on the back for finding a decent tyre at the right price to keep this budget racing. It can't have been easy to wait to confirm the details with us all moaning!

Indeed - this came up in conversation at the Essex pub night and it seems that buying 4 sets of tyres over the season is the average, so you're effectively getting your tyres cheaper, or getting one set free, whichever way you want to look at it!

With the cost increase due to VAT, petrol tax and everything else going up, it's great that the series is able to stick to it's "cheap racing" ethos and help give something back.

I don't think any of us see it as moaning as such, you're all passionate about the series and it's great to get the ideas discussed and to feed back the rider's comments into the series. You guys tried the new Pirelli, the natural successor to the original tyre we had used from the start, and didn't like them. Rider power meant you questioned it and we now have a different tyre which fits with what you guys asked ... just please DON'T ask to change it again next season!!
