Disk bolts are M8 x 20, but be careful with the heads as you really need low-profile versions otherwise they may foul on the speedo drive unit.

A good tip to find out bolt/nut sizes is to go to the Pro-Bolt website (http://www.tastynuts.com/) and look it up on there, as they usually list the size!

Cheers folks, really appreciate the quick responses and the pointers in the right direction...

Plenty of food for thought here. I can see me spending a few evenings just doing my homework and getting plans sorted out. I didn't realise that there were so many options to consider.
