If I have no spare parts, I cannot crash:- No, you can crash... you just can't repair it!
If I don't crash, I won't need any:- True... but you won't be able to catch Neil!
If I know that I have no spare parts I'll be a bit more careful this year:- Once those lights go out are you really going to be thinking about spares.
Anyway, judging by how well you "repaired" your fairing, you don't need spares!
