My latest project, just about finished !
After buying my 748R from a guy in Glasgow who described it as 'mint' ( which it wasn't !! ) I pulled it completely to bits apart from the engine and have over the past 3 months been building it back together along with cleaning and replacing anything that needed changing.
I sourced lots of carbon and other bling and the bike now looks virtually brand new and will hold its value rather well I would imagine in this condition.
Ducati Glasgow carried out a full thorough service for me before I collected the bike so everything is set for some decent weather. Just a clutch cover to fit and a couple of minor jobs.
Whether my aging bones can put up with the bike who knows but if not an 848 may be my next project !!!

A few photos for the time being,

That does look very nice indeed! Well done!

Dash is now fitted and looks great. I bought some carbon plates and made a mounting bracket that is similar to the RS Corse one. I fitted two led lights for Oil and Fuel even though the display does already have a visual warning. Luckily I managed to get a spare instrument wiring loom so I was able to make a specific loom that just plugs in and the original dials can be fitted again in a few minutes.

The clarity is brilliant and the gear indicator works really well, brings the bike more up to date.

I also fitted a jhp clutch cover and a carbon fuel cap. Apart from getting radial forks/brakes/cylinders everything is done, really pleased with the finished item just a pity my aging bones are finding it tough going !!

Is it time for a Hypermotard !!!
