These are the type of things you're talking about right? Have never bought stands before so apologies for seeming obvious questions...

rear stand a minimum, I also use an axle stand as I dont have the one Kev is talking about but kinda works the same to rest it on when I get back

There are always plenty of front stands around to use if you don't have one, most of us happy to lend stuff or a hand

Are you going to the NEC bike show? If so, wait until then to buy stands.
I bought a pair a couple of years ago and they were practically giving them away - I think I paid £35 for a pair of front and rear stands!

agree - get the headstock one if you do and the bike show is cheap for stands

the first ebay link many use for transporting and stand at the track, I have a similar one and its ace

the second link isnt any good unless there are swingarm bobbins fitted - I use a cup type

is true

+1 on the shows.

I used a wheel chock as I quite often am racing or trackdaying alone and they are easy to ride into. A good firm rear stand is the best, got to be nice and strong and secure. I only got a headstock style stand as it helps working on the bike at home. You can probably borrow front stands for a short while (I did at Pembrey).
