but I'd expect with a super light weight bike and pilot, making decent power, the gearing is less important....who knows...I'm probably talking bollix as normal

His bike wasn't as light as everyone assumed. I'm pretty sure it was over 160kg (so a good 10kg more than some! ), and Hugh isn't exactly a lightweight due to his height...

I'd be amazed if it was, unless those cans added so much, as it was probably the best bike in the paddock when he bought it; light, powerful and brilliantly put together by one of the best Ducati guys out there

ha ha just looking at the same!! Have noticed the 900ss ones seem to be 40mm spaced brakes, and not all ST and bigger Monster/SS engined machines had asj forks

And before you say they won't fit! all you need to do is change the top stanchions & preload adjusters for SS & you would have a great pair of forks
