Everyone Loves Cadwell, but its 400ish miles round trip for those nearer London, and the next weekend the entire DD squad and there supporters are already there. IMHO I would think more peeps would book monday,16th, to play on their other duc's, but to drive up monday and then back again on the thurs or fri ?

And anyone doing the Ducati trackday might easily go over a day earlier and see what the DD racing is all about? Surely these riders make up the biggest pool of potential racers ?

Sorry for the rant, and I know DSC is more than just DD, and I really enjoyed my last DSC trackday but can't make it on the 9th.

Unfortunately the 16th wasn't available as it was already booked for another event.

Well up for this now .... Got my first taste of what my bike can do on Tuesday at the Bike Magazine day at Cadwell.

Torrential rain (and some work to do in the morning) meant I got there just in time for last session before lunch. Damp. I'll admit to being v nervous. Bike was of course filthy due to ride there.....no van or trailer for me.

Sun came out and all activity stopped for lunch

Managed three sessions in the afternoon, on a dry track except for the back around hairpin. Only the last session had a few spots of rain.

Ducati turn out included Mike Armitage (Bike journo') on the Panigale, an 1198 Corse and a classic sport. I have witnesses that he said he'd rather have mine over the Panigale More low down drive. There then ensued the whole discussion around electronic rider aids, mere mortals, real world riding etc etc. Having said that he looked incredibly smooth out lapping in the intermediate group.

I now love my bike even more....handling is something sublime. Only issue I've got to learn is the downshifting revs whilst scrubbing off speed - the engine over run puts a lot of hove back through the clutch.

I'll download a couple of pics off the phone of the Panigale when I get a moment....
