I've measured the height now and it should be 32.1 inches, and it was 30 inches with the 1098 seat on. I've raised it to 32.3 inches with the 1098 seat in and it feels more focussed on the body just sitting on the bike. Before it felt like the tank was in the way and I couldn't get my head forwards or body over the tank no matter how much I tried, which meant my arms were stretched and taking a bit of body weight. I thought it was me but I just wasn't getting any feel from the front end going into/slowing down for quicker corners. Which makes sense now I think about it as if I was sitting back more the front would be too light to give feedback.
Now I can get my head up to the screen and alongside each side of the screen; plus I can bend my arms, my legs feel more relaxed and in a better position to grip the tank taking weight off my arms. I just need to get it on a track now and prove to myslef I'm not talking borrox.
