Just to confirm that yes you will have to change the ECU if you fit the Termis, we had to replace the link pipe on ours as well. I think that you will find that the correct Termis for a 998bip are 50mm - I can check ours if you want.
Our bike is borderline for Brands Hatch, but decibel eaters sort that out.
