Question
Ducati UK have announced their first trackday for the year:
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/sh...d.php?t=192573

I'm interested to know if you guys would rather attend these events, or if you would still prefer a "DSC" organised day for whatever reason - price, location, tdo, etc?

In terms of votes, 5 definites and 26 maybes doesn't make a trackday unfortunately as it's about a third of the number we'd need!

I have some other options, which I will need to go away and plan, but you guys are welcome to discuss in the mean time...

Must admit I dont like the idea of the 1st session being grouped in mixed ability, with transponders, to sort out lap times and then put in to slow, medium and fast groups. This is not a trackday.

The risk of accidents with mixed ability/speed groups is well known and something I wouldn't participate in.

The last time I did a track day with FE, albeit a weekender, they still ran 3 groups, novice, inters, fast, and then after the first day they posted what groups you would be in the next day.

I imagine it would be like this but on a quicker scale. Ie after the first session they would jiggle the groups about.

Though I have been wrong about many things so this could well be another.

I don't know how they do it, but if they let you book the normal novice/inter/fast then time each group that will get the sharks out of the slower groups and the wana be's out of the fast group. Makes sense to me.

To be fair, its not cheap, would rather do 2 days at Cadwell for that price, may be we should get together with Slob and sort a joint trackday at Cadwell, and with this weather, maybe late July, early August would be ideal

But you wouldn't Chris, not old DSC days anyway from what I remeber for cost, especially summer months

Shame you cant get enough. With a club the size of DSC joining with other clubs must be the way forward. Was always a great 1st track experience

I am meeting Rob at the weekend and this will be a topic of conversation.

I'm just disappointed that we send out 300-ish club magazines but got 31 responses on the forum!
