try tesco.com for an online quote. If Renault have some sort of insurance scheme try that as well.
Just been in pretty much the same boat, years of accident free driving on someone else's policy and before that my own car policy then tried to get insured for a turbo nutter special. Got round it by getting the "handbrake" to insure the TNS after regd in her name and I insure the less expensive set of wheels.
