It is part of the car test though. BS numbers, secure fixing and ATC.

Actually i dont think that site is up to date. I thought the requirement for E marks on exhausts had changed recently.

now this is spooky....the same night that i posted the question about plates, mine fell off and is lost, had to ride the 80 miles home with a plate made out of some cardboard from a budweiser box with my reg drawn on in blue pen !
btw, the mot guy said that plates are not part of the test.
