JHP Billet clutch cover - Page 3

Hi Nat

Just to add a bit of variety to this theme I run a STM lightweight clutch with a Casoli billet cover. If anyone fits one of these it is a must to disassemble it and loctite the cap screws before fitting - they come out very easily as I found out

No comments about the bike please its ten years old and is used in the wet!

All done..hope you like it..(and arent new ducati clutches quiet??!!...I kinda like the tamburine in a spin dryer racket my 888 makes..!)

Oh dear, this morning I bought a carbon vented cover from Casoli Moto. Didn't think of any spill implications..

Ils,

It's personal choice, and I'm sure we're all trying hard *not* to chuck our bikes up the road! It's just that the carbon cover offers very little protection at all.

Having said that, even the standard cover will bend and cause post breakages, but it will protect better than a carbon one in a typical low-side.

the standard one is made of what looks like two 22 swg alloy pressings press together I bought one off e-bay to replace my damaged one and thought about making my own vented cover out of the old one. I am about half way at the moment looking good but very thin ?? ok I guess as long as I don't fall off.

The billet "Tecmoto" clutch cover doesn't appear on the web site .... am I missing it. I can only see the Dp copy ones?

The billet ones are quite old now - I don't know if they still sell them. Was in the shop yesterday chatting to Mike but they've got very little stock left.

The builders were working on getting the workshop and store sorted, so they'll be up and running again soon - a couple of weeks at most I reckon.

If you're after one, it may well be worth giving them a ring as they may well have one.
