I echo HellsBell's sentiments Antonye,

I reckon those pics weren't from a digital 'snappy' but a full blown SLR. Those things don't come cheap as I have just discovered myself.

Someone will be a very upset little bunny at not only losing their camera but their images.

Having said that......I guess your mate's wife must have found the whole bag cos to download the pics from the camera you'd need the ancilliary leads that won't be standard to all cameras. How'd you lose or leave behind a full camera bag in the first place is my question????

"One Careless Owner...."

Has the discovery been logged with the police? You'd be able to tell the date it was left by the dates on the original images when you download them (right click on viewed image and select 'Properties').

If not claimed in a set period of time the camera will be your mates to keep.

Guido

Pic 5: Figure RHS of shot - I see that too..

Pic 8: Cardboard cut-out monkeys in tree (x3) - Yep, those too

Pic 9: Ditto x4 - Cat/Owl and "spider" cutouts

Pic 10: Something in the middle of path ahead (those bloody monkeys again)! - Looks like a dog ot a pile of logs...

Pic 17: Figure in ground floor RHS window - yep

Pic 18: Figure in wood to left - yep

Pic 19: Monkeys in tree (again!) and spoooooky eyes in dark area bottom left. - ooh scary

Pic 25: Figure in reflection (ET?) - Not mocked up at all...

A lot of the added extras look like bad photoshop efforts, instead of stragegically placed cutouts.

But some look like those dodgy cats with glowing eyes my in-laws have to keep cats of their lawns.

The tower looks like the sort that are ten a penny in North American forests, but I've not seen a single one in the UK.

Guido, if they really did find a camera......They could have just pulled out the memory card. No leads required.

Got a funny feeling that they were not taken in this country although the building looks English.

Antony, as no one has guessed where your mate was walking, are you going to reveal the location?

He's in the States - hence I didn't say to start with as I doubted anyone would know where it was!

I believe it was somewhere near Woodstock?
