Steve I have been waiting 10 weeks for a bit to turn up from Section 8 superbikes in the states and likewise for some bits from Aus. Both off of Ebay and paid for with Paypal.
Contacted both parties after about 6 weeks to say where are they, I was told they should be with me by then but give it another week or so.
Neither of them have a tracking number, I have contacted Parcel force and H.M Customs to see if they have any record of them without any Joy, I have also contacted USPS and Ausrtralian Air Express and they can't help.
So at the moment I am out $500 and if I dont hear anything positive from the sellers in the next 24hrs I'll be leaving negative feedback and contacting Ebay and Paypal.
So did they post them or is it just c**p courier services.

Kev

I ordered a set of stainless bolts for my ST from the US via ebay, came within a week and i also bough a second hand footrest, also from ebay and also from the US. That came within ten days. I did win a set of cans and payed for them with Paypal. Six weeks later they hadnt come. I email the seller a number of times but he always told me that they had just been sent but was never able to give me a tracking number. Turns out he had underestimated the shipping charge so he never even sent them. Gave me my money back though.

If its shipped any other way than standard post there should be a tracking number Kev.

Paul, Section 8 superbikes say it was sent USPS letter post so ther is no tracking number.
The guy in Australia ducatifreaks claims he sent them using a non tracking system, but am awaitnig a final response from him before Ebay get involved
Since I won the items off him and paid for them he has had 5 negative feedbacks

Hmm, I guess I've been lucky. Big box of 888 bits from Canada, paid paypal. Great deal, shipped cheap via surface, and no probs at all. Same deal from Aus, sent him down Oz dollars, cash. No sweat, arrived yesterday.

Rgds,

Rob

When I had my ZRX I bought a lot of stuff from the States using Paypal and the longest I had to wait was about 2 weeks. On many of the items the delivery time was less than I have experianced from some UK mail order companies. One company even gave me a refund when they realised that they had slightly over estimated the postage cost

I've just had the SpeedyMoto parts sent from the States via USPS. Parcelforce delivered them here.
Took about 2 weeks.
The thing I've found with tracking numbers, even from UPS or FedEx is that once they leave the states they're lost. Depends on who picks them up this side of the pond.

Kev contact Paypal now. If they haven't arrived by now then they're not ever gonna arrive. In ten weeks you could paddle the package over from the States in a bath tub....

Like most of the other people here stuff I've ordered from the US has never taken more than about 2 weeks to get here via USPS

Don't forget that you're using your credit card with paypal, and as with all credit cards your contract is with them, so if you have paypal problems you can just tell the credit card company your woes and let them sort it out.

I only got switched onto this when me and a work colleague went on holiday at about the same time. Although they were completely seperate holidays by coincidence they were both holidays from hell. I had paid for mine by cheque, he had paid by credit card. His thinking was that if it all went pear shaped the extra protection afforded was worth paying the extra 3% handling charge imposed for paying by credit card.

When we got back, we were both persuing compensation. I fought a long and bitter battle to get £500 back. He phoned his credit card company, simply told them that he wasn't paying for his holiday and why and got pretty much a full refund.

I had something similar..........4 weeks i gave him...said he had sent them nothing arrived........got his phone number from Ebay by requesting his personal details.......called him in the states and his **** dropped.........money was back in my paypal within hours.

Get his/her personal details from Ebay and call, lets them know you are taking it serious and want your cash/item
