Boot reccomendations

Peepers,

What's on yer feet when you ride?

I'm looking for a new set of hoofs and need a few opinions. Had 3 previous sets of vertebra/2 and I don't want to squeak anymore.

TIA

Cheers!

Scott

If anyone wants some sidi boots then clay cross power sports are selling the vertebra 2 at £100 and the race carbon at £150.

Daytona, best boots I've ever had, zero pose value, but like slippers for comfort (already got the pipe)

Thanks for the input guys.

Curious though, what made you choose those boots for you?

Had a look at them all, like the Daytona evo sports so far, but they're a bit on the pricey side.

Looked at the alpinestars, not sure about them - I always thought they were a bit pointy toed? I will have another look at them again though.

No-one wearing dainese tci boots?

AXO?

Spidi?

Cheers!!

Scott

I wear Dainese Axial-Out boots and love them. Light as slippers and with your feet and ankles enclosed in carbon/kevlar, you know they're safe.
They are a little fiddly to get on and the inner safety boot rubs a little on the zips. This was a real problem on the early ones and they were recalled.
They are a £300 boot though. I fell lucky and got a pair for £100 when Carnells closed down.
The Daytona's are quality. Probably the best out there.
The TCI's look to be an OK boot to. I haven't tried them or know anyone that has though.

Why?

I've had a whole range of boot makes, but the last 3 pairs have been Alpinestars. I've got quite wide feet, so the "pointy toes" thing definitely isn't true - just try loads of they on until you find ones that fit properly.

Secondly, I got ****ed off with riding in boots that leak and trying get round
it by waterproofing them, buying ones that said they were waterproof, wearing plastic bags, and so on. I normally wear GoreTex trainers/boots and know they're waterproof, so the idea of a pair of sports boots like the SMX-3 but with a GoreTex liner really appealed to me.

And yes, they do work!
