I'd go with Tim on this, the 998 setup is good with the 4pots etc, very on/off action, whereas the 996 with standard m/c and AP's was progressive as I prefer. Putting the wavy's on the 998 improved things just felt a tad more progressive, but when pulled harshly really stopped quickly, but the brembo m/c increased the whole feel again.

I doubt the wavy's off the 998 will fit the 999R with radials etc, anyone know? So at some point mine will be up for sale if you can wait a good few months
