Yep. I've done it too!

Was on a tour of the Isle of Skye and we'd stopped for fuel. Couldn't see the key anywhere, even after removing the fairing sides. There was luckily a few of us so we lowered the bike over to one side and shook like mad. Fortunately we just got site of it and managed to fish it out with a bit of wire. Took about 30-60 mins though.



Still only using the key, but a lot more careful these days. I do have a rubber key fob, so I'll try it out.
