Wheel spindle locking

Just been over the father in laws and he is prepping his race bikes, He recons that for 2006 wheel spindle nuts have to be lockwired/R clipped. Any one else hear this or is this just a classic club rule???

First I heard of it, but then I haven't got my ACU handbook yet (not that I would have read it if I did).

Kev will be along to clarify. He's the rules oracle

So far, it seems to be a new CRMC reg, along with a lot of other fiddly work.
All these types of things are good safety ideas for all of us, but not all good ideas are compulsory

Interestingly, the CRMC and VMCC still dont ask for oil catch trays though

I've never seen a catch tray collect 4 litres of oil when the bike is travelling at 120mph... normally the rear tyre (and anything following) does a better job!

Ask Ali, it even happens at slower speeds - and you can 'burn' some off too!

I thought the catch trays just collected all the spare parts that fell out of the engine - again, just ask Ali for details...
