Cusworths - Sheffield Auction

Sorry about the lateness of the post. I only found out about this yesterday and couldn,t get onto the board cos of "too many connections".

Cusworths at Sheffield have been compulsory purchased as part of the ring road scheme at Sheffield. As a result they are liquidating all their stock tomorrow (Weds 17/11) by auction at their Sheffield premises. The attcahed link is the catalogue

http://www.charterfields.com/sales/c.../cusworths.pdf

There is an 03 749 BIP in the auction as well as a MV Augusta and a RSV Mille.

Begs the question though - why dont they just move it all to their other shop?

It appears (from the legal speak) that Sheffield and Doncaster are separate businesses that share the same name.

Probably wouldn't all fit in their place at Doncaster. If you've been you'll know what I mean. Must have got a good settlement from the compulsory purchase to make an auction a cost effective option.

The donny shop and sheff shop where basicly the same.

if they sell all the stuff they will claim more losses if it goes cheap too so dont think they will be bothered. Ill have to call in and find out whats happening.

Spoke with my mate who went to the auction. Arlen Ness suits £250! He came away with an Arai (don't know which model) for £150. He said it was packed. A lot of dealers there and a lot of Joe Public. The dealers had their noses put out because the public wouldn't let the lots run as they wanted individual items. Unfortunately he went before the bikes went through. Don't know how much the dyno went for either.
