Bugger me - I won!!!!

Well who'd have thought

I actually won something this season (apart from the hearts of many)

Yep that's right, 'Dented Tank Award' - The award for the most spectacular (idiot) crash of the season.

This was of course, the hardest fought catergory in Desmo Due this season, with entries coming from...

Nick Boustead,
Phil Huntley,
Duncan More,
Kev Ellis (twice - oops!),
Mike Atack (sorry),
Antony Espindola (twice),
Paul Payne,
Chris Butcher,
TP (twice),
Dave Reilly (twice),
Clint De Tarnowsky (twice),
Ali Bisson (at least 7 times? tee hee),
Antoine Josserand,
Timothy Howard (just the once),
Ian Leah,
Chris Wood,
Glyn Hinsley,
Mike Dawson,
Lin Jones,
and last but not least Andy Roberts!!!

What a list eh?!?!?!?!

I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible, including Chris 'Squirilly off the line' Butcher - not for crafting the award, but for his own entry - taking out Tony 'I'd rather be lying in the beach at Brands' Perrin, on the start line at Cadwell. Without these truely great guys and of course the infamous Antony 'Don't come near me or you'll fall off' Espindola, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to torpedo Mike Atack in such an acrobatic fashion. I'd also like to thank Paul 'The Donington Cannonball' Payne for donating a piece of history (flatest tank in race history!) to create the award.

I think that deep down, we're all winners (losers) in a our own special way.

Dickie has the video evidence somewhere - get it online Dickster

Thanks again everyone - well done, you've all excelled in crashing

Have a safe 2006 - Hopefully there won't be a winner of this award next season

hehe, don't count on winning that next year, ask Glyn about how often I crash on the road, let alone when I'm trying! :P

How come I didn't get a entry on to that crashers list then, and if it didn't happen can I have some more points instead of my two DNFs at Cadwell Woodlands :P

Well done Dom - and you werent even there to collect it!!
(its like you qualifying at Cadwell on the Sat in the SOT - from your car on the M5 )

Have you got to get it a 'plaque' with your name on, and represent it next year? - cos our son-in-law Paul could be a strong contender for it on the 583 Snotmobile

Yeah, like all the 'greats' - I'm just too famous, and I was filming in Hollywood or something
