2003/5 Ducati 998 S (R)
This bike has undergone extensive modification using only genuine Ducati parts and professional technicians carrying out the work. It has never been ridden in the wet, has been garaged since new and is in stunning condition, as you can see by the pictures. The engine is practically new after being blueprinted having had new bearings/shells/seals etc even though they were not really required as the engine had done less than 6K. The performance of the bike is on par with a 1098S but retaining the classic and original Tamborini design
SPECIFICATION
2003 998 with a (FULLY BLUE-PRINTED) 2005 999S engine (at a cost of £2000+)
The 999s engine was the last of the testastretta production run and the most advanced and powerful with a lightweight crank, titanium con-rods and revised head porting, a Ducati Performance light-weight flywheel was fitted during the B/P process. After an initial 'run-in' period the bike was dynod and gave a genuine, rear wheel BHP of 144, 1 more than a stock 1098s !! (NB. The same dyno tested a 1098s at 143 BHP)
The 999s engine had covered 6000 miles before blue-printing and has subsequently done 300 miles since completion.
