Wanted - back brake pivot for DP rearsets

Posted here 'cos it's more relevant to this section...

My Sparco rearsets finally arrived today and they're exactly the same as DP ones!

I've been out in the garage fitting them, but have drawn a blank at fitting the rear brake lever as I can't get the pivot pin to go through it! I've removed the standard one but it's too big.

Looking at the DP ones, it's exactly the same so I'm thinking there must be a different size pin for this than the standard one - ie, slightly smaller.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've also noticed that the little mushroom-headed bolt to press in the brake light switch is a different size (again smaller) but I can make do with a plain hex head if I can't get one of them either...

Might have one. What dimensions are different from stock?

The hole in the brake lever is smaller, apparently only by a few mm, compared to standard.

The bolt is a tight fit on the standard brake lever but there's no way it's going into the replacement one. I assume that it comes as part of the kit from DP but wasn't supplied with my sparco ones.

If all else fails I can buy a standard one and get it turned down to fit, but if anyone has one laying about...

I used the stock bolt for my DP rear sets brake lever.
Just used some emery paper to open out the hole a bit and polished the bolt, its not a lot of work but would be easier with a dremel and an emery paper attachment, and liberally greased it to get the bolt in with gentle abuse from a copper headed hammer and a bit of wood.
No problems with sticking either :P
It is just a bit tight to get the leading edge of the bolt through or it was on my 996 and again on mine and Jokers 998's then its a case of pressure to get it in there .

Ah right, sounds like it might be ok then.

I did give it some welly with the soft mallet, but it was just marking the surface of the pin, so I didn't think it would turn even if I did get it in there!

If anyone does find they have a spare, let me know but I'll try and source a spare standard one and get it reduced a bit.

Cheers guys!

Can you measure the pin diameter? I'll check my spares tonight.

Probably not very accurately!!

I need to get myself a micrometer as it's one of the things my workshop is missing...

Take a piece of thin paper, wrap it around the bolt, mark the circumference with a pen, unwrap and measure with a ruler to the nearest millimeter.

As I said, I can check tonight. AFAIK, the pivot bolts are the same for either rear sets.
