Engine casings...

Anyone know if you can get heavy duty ones any where,nrc dont do them for dukes.cheers,mogwai@mineareabitfuktafterpembrey.co m

Not seen any before but as well as the crash bobbin route, I've seen the insides of fairing panels lined with carbon/kevlar to prevent such problems.

When you say lined with carbon kevlar. What is it sheet thats glued on? where do you get that from? cheers

Yes Andy. Don't where to get it from, but what I've seen is layers of the stuff resin'd onto the inner side of the fairing.

Kevlar fabric is £12.50 per metre square and a 600ml pack of resin (which will do about 10-20m^2 of fabric) is under a tenner.

Really easy to do - cut fabric to shape, coat mixed resin onto inside of fairing, place fabric on resin, work resin through fabric with roller. Repeat for any number of layers then leave to dry.
