Mood: is it cos i is a bricklayer
the switch gear is definately different to the SS on the outside -- but it is the actual switch has snapped off (the grey bit on yours)so i drilled into the remaining part that is inside the switchgear, inserted the self tapper to replace the broken button,it is functional tho
i know what you are saying about bits being the same just cos the outside of the switchgear looks different cosmetically it could be exactly the same components inside it and even maybe wired up the same!!
i could take the things apart to see and risk all the little springs and ball bearings and contacts flying out all over the place only to find that they are different! if i get desparate in a few weeks time i'll get back in touch-- many thanks for the offer HW it is appreciated -if i get time this week i'll pop into me local dealer and blag a look at the two wiring diagrams side by side to see if the switches are wired up the same-- would the bars be the same diameter? i'll find out many thanks
