Easy .. just need an allen key to remove the springs. If you are going to have an open cover (like there would be any point in having an anodised plate with the std cover?) then get a set of stainless springs (come with replacement stainless screws). You can get them from SpareShack for £25. If you don't then the first whiff of damp in the air and the springs will go rusty. Doesn't affect the performance, but spoils the looks somewhat.
