Primary (crank-to-clutch) gearing in all the 600 engines changed during '94 to be the same as the 750's ie 2:1. (There are vin numbers associated with it, but I dont have then to hand) They changed the final drive gearing at the same time to keep the overall ratio the same, so a 600SS with 2:1 primary has a 15/41 rear sprocket set as standard. Monsters all have more teeth on the rear sprocket than the equivalent size SS. From memory, I think the 600mon with 2:1 primary has 15/43 on the rear. |
